Would you happen to know how many items you have left? As a matter of fact, do you know every item you are even selling? We can forget some things. We are all human at the end of the day.

As a human being, you can forget basic things, too. I have forgotten some things that I didn’t believe I could forget. Do you want to tell me that you always remember everything? I doubt if anyone is like that.

Anyway, picture this: a retailer has up to a thousand items in his shop. If he sells some out, is he able to accurately know how many items he has sold? Personally, I very much doubt if anyone can do that accurately. There might be a few people like that. I have yet to meet one. Are you one of them?

Walk with me, Michael was running a medium-sized shop. He sold snacks, household materials, foodstuffs, and stationery. On a particular day, one of Michael’s regular customers, who goes by Ife, strolled inside his shop with the intention of buying a toothpaste.

“Michael, Good Evening, how are you doing? “I'm fine, I hope you are doing great. “Of course. I’m doing great. There is something I want to talk to you about, Michael. “Spill it. “I have been buying goods from you for up to three months now, and I can say that it looks like you hardly sell anything. Your store doesn’t look different from three months ago.”

“No. I have sold a lot of items. It looks really different from how it was three months ago. I am the one here all of the time. I can tell that I have sold many things. “Mr Michael, if you are so confident, download an app that can allow you to monitor how your goods are sold in real time. This way, you can know if you are actually selling a lot of things or not. Monitor it for three months. I’ll ask you in three months.”

“I will do this to prove you wrong, Ife.” Michael did a little research and came across Bumpa. He downloaded Bumpa and registered all his goods on that app. After three months had passed, Michael realized that he had only sold thirty goods out of five hundred goods.
Ife came by after he realized it on one faithful evening. Ife asked Michael for the results. “Ife, you were right. Now I know for sure that I hardly sell. Thank you for telling me about this. Now I can come up with better business strategies and sell better”. “You are welcome, Michael.”

Don’t be like Michael. He realized his fault late. Download the app that helps you track your sales performance today. You can use it to know when you have to change the way you sell things if a particular way is not working.
Determine what works for you and know when to improve. Michael didn’t even know he had to improve until later.
